Privacy Policy
Effective September 30, 2026
1. Who we are and scope
This policy explains how Jonathan Woodall, operating Woody Racing and TrackTools (“we,” “us”), handles information through jonathanwoodall.com, the TrackTools website and the TrackTools mobile app. It covers account features, track and vehicle notes, community features, uploads, update subscriptions and paid access. Contact: jw@jonathanwoodall.com.
2. Information you provide
We collect information you submit, such as your email address, account identifiers, username, profile information, race number, team and sponsor information, photos, vehicles, saved events, attendance preferences, session and setup notes, lap times, gearing, race results and files. The exact information depends on the features you use. Uploaded lap-timer or GPS files may contain location traces, timestamps and vehicle-performance data. Avoid including sensitive information you do not want stored.
3. Sign-in, subscriptions and technical information
Our authentication providers process sign-in credentials and identifiers. If you use Apple or Google sign-in, we receive the information that provider makes available with your permission. Payment platforms and RevenueCat process purchase, subscription and entitlement information, including an app account identifier, product identifiers, purchase dates and subscription status. Payment card details for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, device/browser information, request logs and error information to operate and protect the services.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and synchronize your account across the app and website, save and display your content, match race results when you configure that feature, provide schedules and community features, verify paid access, respond to requests, troubleshoot problems and protect the service. We use your email to send updates when you subscribe and to send necessary account or service communications.
5. Public and private content
Account notes, setup notes, original file uploads and vehicle details are intended for your account unless you choose a sharing or public feature. Profile details, attendance, group information, photos or content you choose to share may be visible to other users or the public according to the feature and your settings. Public race results may be obtained from race organizations and timing services. Published track maps, tips and schedules are shared content. Copies of content shared outside TrackTools may remain with the recipients.
6. Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers including Supabase for authentication, databases and file storage; our website hosting provider; Apple and Google for platform/sign-in services where enabled; and RevenueCat for subscription management. These providers process information needed to deliver their services under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice where required. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Device permissions and local storage
Camera and photo access are used when you choose features involving images. Notification permission is used for notifications when enabled. You can change permissions in device settings. The website uses browser storage for sign-in sessions, interface state and previously saved planner data. This policy does not itself enable location collection or new permissions. Location or telemetry information is handled when you submit it through an available feature, such as a file upload.
8. Retention, security and international processing
We retain information as needed to provide your account and services, fulfill legal obligations, address disputes and protect against abuse. You can request deletion of your account and associated content. Some records may need to be retained for legal, payment or security purposes; backup copies may remain temporarily until their normal replacement. We use authentication and access controls, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Providers may process data outside your state or country, including in the United States.
9. Your choices and requests
You can edit supported account information, control available sharing preferences and revoke device permissions. For access, correction, export or deletion requests, contact jw@jonathanwoodall.com from your account email where possible. We may verify your identity before acting. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights or a right to complain to a privacy regulator. To stop optional updates, use an unsubscribe option if supplied or email us with “Unsubscribe.” Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription; cancel through the platform where you purchased it.
10. Children
TrackTools is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and arrange deletion as appropriate. Where a higher minimum age or parental-consent requirement applies, that requirement also applies.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the services change. The effective date identifies the current version, and we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required. Questions or requests: jw@jonathanwoodall.com.
